Great Trade UP - Week 1

Andy Williams - Wednesday, February 08, 2012

One week into our Great Trade UP for Birmingham Children's Hospital, and we've made steady progress. A tactical masterstroke has given us two fronts of attack.

Firstly, the cunning tactical ploy - splitting the balloon in two so we can attack on two fronts. Surely half a balloon is still worth something to someone?

Apparently so, as on the first front, SEAT's Perry Clarke swapped £50's worth of music vouchers, which we have now traded for a free service from KwikFit, worth £205.

The second half of the balloon has been even more successful - A £219 Dyson non blade desk fan donated by Malcolm Hird from Dyson Limited, which thanks to Michelin Tyres has now become a hospitality package to the British Touring Car Championship at Silverstone on the 7th October, estimated value £500.

With three weeks still to go, can we catch current leaders Hotel La Tour? If you think you can help us - and more importantly the Children's Hospital - with higher value trade items, call Heather Bright on 0844 85 45 100.

Free Service from Kwik Fit became a 4 ball and lunch at Henley Golf and Country Club. This has now turned into an iPad courtesy of PhoneBox Ltd. Thanks to Henley Golf Club and PhoneBox for helping us on our way.
